As Nigeria celebrates its 54th year of independence, a youth and political pressure group, Advocate for Collective Transformation ACT has said the effect of the ravaging Ebola Virus Disease, EVD cannot be compared to bad leadership in the country.ACT in its independence anniversary message signed by its National President, Comrade Oluwatayo Fashogbon and National Secretary, Isaac Ifetoluwa Ajayi said the veracity of energy to stop the spread of Ebola in the country should be extended to every sector of governance.
"With the way Ebola was battled out of Nigeria, our leaders should deploy such energy, interest and political will in rebuilding our country.
"Ebola killed about 20 people in Nigeria while bad leadership, corruption has killed hundreds of thousands since after our independence in 1960″
According to ACT, Nigerians particularly youths are faced with various challenges ranging from acute unemployment, poverty, defective educational standard, lack of social welfare and in most cases total abandonment and systematic exclusions from all the commanding height of governance in the affairs that bother on Nigerian youth interest.Details here
