Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has met with President Goodluck Jonathan on the current crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party.
The meeting which was held behind closed doors was
apparently for consultation on the crisis that erupted at the Special Convention of the PDP in Abuja on Saturday.
Obasanjo was absent at the convention where some PDP governors staged a walkout to form a faction of the party.
The former president had before the meeting joined President Jonathan to worship at the Aso Rock Villa Chapel and were later joined by the visiting President Boni Yayi of Benin Republic.
It would be recalled that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, seven PDP governors and other chieftains of the party on Saturday formed a parallel executive of the PDP.
Abubakar Baraje was appointed the factional chairman and Olagunsoye Oyinlola as the factional Secretary.
