Fayose stormed EFCC office with FFk,Wike.


Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has revealed he is already in Abuja and will be at EFCC house to submit himself for questioning on corruption charges leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Fayose made this claim on his twitter feed and said he hopes those Buhari has accused of corruption will follow his footsteps.

He was sworn in at exactly 12:24pm, shortly after his deputy, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi, had taken his own oath of office.

Bukola Saraki has been named the DG of presidential campaign of the PDP

Senate President Bukola Saraki has been named the director-general of campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. The appointment, which had been subject of media speculation for days, was confirmed to THISDAY this morning by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, who said zonal coordinators had also been named after long hours of meetings by the PDP hierarchy.The coordinators according to him are, governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto, North-west), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe, North-east), Samuel Ortom (Benue, North-central), Nyesom Wike (Rivers, South-south) and Dave Umahi (Ebonyi, South-east). Former Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, would coordinate the South-west.

Ologbondiyan said Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Emmanuel Udom, was appointed Chairman of Fund Raising Committee, while former presidential aspirant, Alhaji Taminu Turaki, would head the legal committee. Others campaign officials, he said, would be announced in due course.

Meanwhile, the party formally set the machinery in motion for the reconciliation of all aspirants that contested its presidential ticket in Port-Harcourt penultimate weekend in an attempt to rally them behind the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Boko Haram executes second female aid worker



The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram, has executed Hauwa Liman, an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

According to TheCable, the insurgents have also vowed to keep Dapchi schoogirl Leah Sharibu as a slave for life.

Liman's killing was done spite of a last-minute passionate appeal by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) "to the Nigerian Government and to communities and individuals with influence to work toward the release of two committed medical workers abducted in north-eastern Nigeria earlier this year".

Paul Allen Microsoft co-founder , dies at 65..

The billionaire died after his latest battle with cancer, his family said on Monday.

Billionaire Paul Allen, who founded US software giant Microsoft with Bill Gates in the 1970s, died on Monday at the age of 65 after his latest battle with cancer, his family said.

Allen said earlier this month that he was being treated for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, the same kind of cancer her battled and overcame nearly a decade ago. He was first diagnosed when he was CEO of Microsoft.


"My brother was a remarkable individual on every level. While most knew Paul Allen as a technologist and philanthropist, for us he was a much loved brother and uncle, and an exceptional friend," Allen's sister Jody said in a statement.

FG has directed EFCC to detain Fayose,says PDP....

The Peoples Democratic Party has alleged that the Presidency has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to detain the outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, indefinitely.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, said information at the party’s disposal and all over the social media indicated that the Presidency had put the Commission on alert to arrest the governor at midnight of Monday (today) and detain him.
